Configure Prescription Details

From 31st July 2026, Patient Access will no longer be available to order prescriptions online. This is because we have changed to a new clinical software, which provides a new online ordering service called Patient Services. Patients who had accounts on Patient Access should have received an email to invite them to register for Patient Services, however we are aware that this has not been the case for everyone. If you did not receive an email, please ensure you check your junk and spam folders before contacting us. If you have any queries, please email gram.albynpatientaccess@nhs.scot

Patients under the age of 16 cannot be given an account.

21/8/26: Please note that we are currently unable to create new accounts on this online platform. Once we are able to do so, we will advertise this. Should you wish to register in due course, we will require to see two forms of ID, with one being photographic.

How to Order

Repeat prescriptions may be obtained in a number of ways.

  • By telephone 24 hours a day – leave a message on our prescription message machine (Tel 01224 565400). Please speak clearly giving your full name and the full name and strength of all the items you require.
  • By post – The right-hand side of your last prescription gives details of your current drugs. Tick the items you require and post the slip to us.
  • In person – leave your request in the box alongside the reception desk. Use either the right-hand side of your last prescription, or the request slips beside the box. Our receptionists will be pleased to help you if you have any problems.
  • Albyn Online Services – you can order online by signing up to our online services via this website.

Repeat Prescriptions

To reduce the footfall within the practice, we are encouraging all patients to sign up with a Pharmacy for collection of their prescriptions.

If you have a preferred Pharmacy for collecting your scripts please contact the practice and we will arrange to have this setup. This will mean when you order your scripts, they will be delivered direct to the Pharmacy of your choice and you should attend there for collection.

Please allow 4 working days for collection from time of ordering.

Collections

If you wish your prescription to be posted out to you, or to your preferred pharmacist, please provide us with a stamped addressed envelope. A number of local pharmacies offer a collection service from the surgery. Please ask your pharmacy if they collect from Albyn Medical Practice.

If you are going on holiday or during Christmas or New Year periods please order your repeat prescriptions in plenty of time. Please note that a person can only collect prescriptions if they are over the age of 16.
